Firefox เป็นโปรแกรมบราวเซอร์ระดับ TOP 3 ที่มีการอัพเดทอย่างสม่ำเสมอ โปรแกรมเป็นขวัญใจนักพัฒนาเว็บ เนื่องจากมีเครื่องมืออำนวยความสะดวกในการพัฒนาเว็บไซต์อย่างมากมาย แถมยังมีปลั๊กอินเสริมความสามารถอีกเพียบ โปรแกรมมีข้อได้เปรียบโปรแกรมอื่นตรงที่ความเร็วในการทำงาน ความเสถียร และการใช้ทรัพยากรเครื่องที่น้อย ล่าสุดยังมีระบบ Built-in PDF viewer ทำให้เราสามารถเปิดดูไฟล์ PDF ได้โดยที่ไม่ต้องลงโปรแกรมอย่าง Adobe Reader เพิ่มเติม สำหรับเวอร์ชั่นล่าสุดก็มีการอัพเดทระบบ Social API, ระบบ Do Not Track, ระบบแนะนำการปรับแต่งโปรแกรมให้ทำงานได้เร็วขึ้น, ระบบการรายงานสถานะการทำงานของโปรแกรม เป็นต้น
